COLORADO ENCORE NETWORK

Connecting to peers, trading ideas, and exploring new opportunities. When we meet  people who share our love of doing good, we’re inspired to do even more.

Connecting, networking, socializing and having fun. And changing perceptions along the way.

Once a month, the Colorado Encore Network hosts early evening gatherings for adults 50+ to enjoy refreshments, educational presentations on topics of interest, animated discussions, story-telling and the opportunity to connect with others. Topics change monthly, and no two Colorado Encore Network meetups are ever alike.

Adults 50+ are rewriting the narrative of aging, and it’s a work in progress. That’s why it’s important to get together and talk about it.

When you’re in your 50s and beyond, life does indeed change. But we are far from done meeting new people, having new ideas or wanting to connect and brainstorm about how to make a difference. Many of us are looking for purpose and meaning beyond our careers, or searching for satisfying new roles to play in our community. Some of us are looking for ways to plug into new networks of interesting people and engaging ways to make a contribution to the community. We’re looking for our “what’s next” and we’re happy to meet others who are doing the same.

The Colorado Encore Network is a fun opportunity to explore options, find resources and learn about ways to create our own “encore.”

People who attend a Colorado Encore Network event tell us that they leave with something new—an inspiring idea, a helpful resource, an opportunity to explore, a new connection. And sometimes, all of the above.

Intergenerational engagement goes against the tide — age silos are the norm in American culture and society. What are the benefits of engaging in civil dialogue with people who see the world differently than we do?
