RE-SCALING YOUR LIFE – PART2

RE-SCALING YOUR LIFE – PART2

Welcome Back! This is Part 2 of our original Re-Scaling presentation held in March 2019 which focused on decluttering your physical space and environment — Re-Scaling the STUFF in your life. As part of our July 24 session we will work on our internal re-scaling. Didn’t attend in March? No worries! Catch up with us in July.

Join us at this highly interactive workshop setting featuring experts from the Colorado Academy of Nutrition and Diet, the YMCA, Operation HOPE and others to talk health and nutrition, financial stability, longevity, and fulfilling emotional relationships.

The elements in play: physical health (fitness and nutrition), emotional/mental health (relationships, sense of self) and financial health (living within your means, able to cope) and a more modest sense of place. There are opportunities coupled with risks, trade-offs and new benefits. Now is the time to have some heart-to-heart talks with ourselves: What ‘singular’ freedom can I envision for myself now – something to give up, some time to free up, some emotions to re-direct? What is one thing I can do differently from now on? Are there some opinions I can just let go of?

Workshop Presenters:
Representatives from Aging Well Denver, YMCA, Home Share and nutrition & diet specialists.

Intergenerational Engagement: The New 21st Century Skill

Intergenerational Engagement: The New 21st Century Skill

Intergenerational engagement goes against the tide — age silos are the norm in American culture and society. This is reinforced by consumer marketing – clothing, social services, entertainment products and venues, housing/living styles, and evermore so in identity politics. How to step out of our comforting generational insulation? Can we suspend judgment for a time to 1) listen, 2) question, 3) challenge, and possibly 4) embrace other ideas, practices, attitudes and opinions? This session will explore the possibilities, and participants will take away new perspectives and tips for more fulfilling engagement.
