A message from Phil Nash, Executive Director

We are at risk for so much more than COVID 19 right now. We also need to think a decade ahead.

Our Census count decides Colorado’s share of $1.5 trillion over 10 years to support vital services for people age 50 and older, including:

  • Medicare
  • Medicaid
  • Roads and bridges
  • Transportation
  • Hospitals
  • Public health and safety
  • Older adult housing and services like Meals on Wheels
  • And more

The Census also decides how much representation our fast-growing state gets in Congress. With a full count, Colorado could gain a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

We’re at risk of being undercounted in 2020 because we don’t know if and when door-to-door counting can happen this year.

That’s why I can’t thank you enough for answering the call, and spreading the word to help us all get counted. It’s up to all of us to help secure Colorado’s fair share of vital funding for people of all ages and backgrounds, and to ensure Coloradans’ voices are adequately represented in Congress.

That’s what Coloradans do best. We count on each other in good times and bad.

Phil Nash
Executive Director
