For many people money talk is a stressful topic in the best of times. In today’s uncertain times anxiety about money seems to be the norm. The 2020 pandemic turmoil has led to a shaky economy and uncertain job prospects have disrupted our finances, emotional wellness, and retirement plans. For Older Adults who are semi-retired or fully retired and living on a fixed retirement income, the fear of a volatile or unsteady stock market creates more anxiety and uncertainty.  Some working older adults suddenly find themselves furloughed or their job hours severely cut back, deeply impacting a reliable income stream. Meanwhile, some parents have welcomed their adult unemployed children home again, creating another financial drain. The strain of confinement and isolation may push ‘gray’ divorce rates even higher. All of these scenarios produce deep financial anxiety. Join us and a panel of pro-bono experts to explore personal economic strategies and financial considerations, that can offer avenues of relief.
