Encore entrepreneurship, those starting businesses in retirement as a way to live a preferred lifestyle or supplement retirement income, is at an all time high. In this country and around the world we are living longer and seeking ways to fulfill those years after retirement. Some do this by traveling, some by taking up a new hobby, and still others are starting businesses. As with any new venture, these business opportunities can carry with them a certain amount of risk as the new encore entrepreneur may be wading into the unknown. This risk can, however, be mitigated with proper planning, some calculated foresight, and the right amount of support. Join us for our presentation by Neil Pollard, Lead Faculty for Entrepreneurship at the Community College of Aurora to explore the possibility of starting your own lifestyle business in retirement in a safe and supported manner.
